What does a doula do?
The role of a doula is to provide support to mothers and their partners.
During pregnancy, we provide families with information about pain management, cesarean birth, and review all the possible labor and delivery scenarios you may have during delivery.
During labor, we help moms change positions to relieve pain and relaxation techniques to bring the baby into an optimal birthing position. We also help partners in the delivery room by showing comfort techniques to help your birthing partner feel more emotionally and physically supported.
We bring years of professional knowledge and personal experience. After working with our doula team, you will feel empowered to advocate for yourself at all times.
We will cover all this and more during our prenatal visits.
What is a team model of care?
At Peace Birth uses a team model of care for all the families we work with.
Every expecting parent who works with At Peace Birth gets support from multiple experienced and certified doulas. Your doula team will be at your prenatal meeting and will be in contact with you throughout your pregnancy. This model gives parents greater continuity of care and offers double the resources!
